yellow butterfly 3

There is a little yellow butterfly that visits my Mexican Petunias every day. Now, it may not be the same butterfly, but I prefer to think it just might be the same one that comes everyday.

You see the petunias have new blooms every morning and those blooms fall off every day. So, every day the little yellow butterfly comes to get the sweet nectar from the new petunia blooms.

It’s a reminder that each day is new every morning with God’s mercy and love, just as Lamentations 3:22b-23a says, “. . . His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. . . “

I remember that TODAY is a NEW DAY that God has given me, and I can do with it centered on me or, better yet, the way God desires for me. I prefer to take this NEW DAY and be aware of who the Lord brings across my path on this NEW DAY, listen to Him and let Him lead me where He wants me to be.

From “A Daily Walk Through Psalm”, “Life is a glorious gift from God. Treat it that way. This day, like every other, is filled to the brim with opportunities, challenges, and choices. Today, you will either place Him at the center of your life – or not. . . . Sometimes, without our even realizing it, we gradually drift away from the ONE we need most. Thankfully, God never drifts away from us. He remains always present, always steadfast, always loving.”

Psalm 90:12 says, “So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”
