God loved us so much that He sent His Son, Jesus, as the perfect sacrifice for our sins if only we would receive Him as our Savior and Lord! Let us worship King Jesus this Easter Sunday. As Psalm 150:6 says, “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!”

I don’t know where you are in your walk in this life and what you may be going through, but I pray that you are a Christian and if not or if not sure, I pray that you would seek out someone to talk to. Jesus is THE WAY to eternal life.

I’d like to share a little of my personal story. Growing up, it was a given that I attended worship services, Sunday School, and other programs at church.  When I was in the 3rd grade, I went to a confirmation class and joined my church on an Easter Sunday. From that time on I thought I was a Christian because I joined the church.

Through God’s Providence many years later, my family visited a church in Jackson other than the one we were members, because our daughter had been invited by a friend at her school whose father was the pastor. Our family eventually became members of that church. We joined by transferring our membership. In God’s perfect timing after going to Bible studies and hearing the sermons preached along with the plan of salvation, I knew then I had never given my heart to Jesus.  To make a long story short, I prayed in my home on a Saturday in 1987, asking Jesus to save me. On the next day, Sunday, at church, I knew what I must do to make my decision public. When the invitation was given at the end of the service, believe me, my knees were knocking all the way down that aisle!  I told the pastor that I wanted Jesus to be my Savior and the Lord of my life!  Has life been easy since then?  Oh, no, but I know that I am a sinner saved by Grace. In John 16:33, Jesus said, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble but take heart! I have overcome the world.” I pray that you will receive this in the sincere humility that I share because I care.

I’ll leave you with this blessing from Numbers 6:24-26, “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace.”
